Home: Life History: Oscar was born 1990. The owner, Janice, acquired him
thru a local vet office where he had been brought into by a lady who had found
him on the ground in her back yard. He was a small baby, and Janice had to
feed him the formula, etc. (You know the rountine.)

He is rotten, and enjoys being rubbed. Since the heat is so bad down here
(Mississippi) he enjoys being misted with water several times a day. He enjoys
fresh corn on the cob, watermelon and cantelope during the summer.

Home: Life History: He was a runt that was pushed out
of the nest. Anyways, Peanut has been going bald for about a year. He eats
mainly unsalted peanuts, which could be the cause.
Also, a heating pad was put under his cage (keeps him warm, but not hot).
Without it, he gets really cold. It is like he cannot generate his own body
heat! His owner came home one day and picked him up - he felt cold and
lifeless. He wasn't dead. He tried to walk, but kept falling over and walking
into things and crying the whole time!
Physical Description: It is almost certain he is deaf, and he may be
crippled. He is very slow moving and clumsy. He is a great pet, though! He
loves being held and petted (only by his owner, though!). At first, he got a
patch of thinning hair on the top of his head, which later spread down the back
of his neck. His stomach is almost furless, as are his feet and legs.

Physical Description/Personality: He's a bit wild. Sometime he
bites me and owner doesn't know why. Maybe he thinks that his owner is the enemy
and would destroy his home. However, he's still a lovely pet. He love peanuts,
sunflower seeds and nuts. He is very clever. He knows where the peanuts are
stored. Everytime peanuts are taken out, he looks at the owner. A person
could read from his eyes: "Give me peanuts!" He loves to store his food under
the bedding and check them several times in an hour. He's very busy and his bed
is full of sunflower seeds and peanuts.

Home: Life History: Rocky, the flying squirrel was born 1991. His owner,
Janice, acquired Rocky thru the local humane society. A severe storm had
passed thru the area, and Rocky was found on the ground at the local
college. Janice had never had a flying squirrel nor had she ever seen one, but
she applied what she knew about raising a gray and it all worked out.
Physical Description and Personality: She taught him how to "fly" by
gently tossing him to the couch. Now, when she lets him out of his cage he
will go off and explore and then come back to check on her. He thinks she's
his personal tree. Rocky awakes nightly at 8:30PM to begin his day.

him until he was older--late August. He was also fixed in late August. He was
tame but has become very aggressive this spring. He does not seem as openly
affectionate as Digger. He has never flipped over to have his tummy rubbed. He

month for the first time his owner had him.
Physical Description and Personality: He yips for attention, yips
when he's happy, and yips if you cough or sneeze. He chirps when he's angry,
and he can hold a grudge for a week (His owner bathed him once and he wouldn't
let her touch him for a week). He and Digger share a large flowerpot in a
larger cage his owner's husband built. They put a blanket over the top of the
flowerpot when they're asleep for the night. They play fight outside the cage,
and they always lock teeth when they see each other outside the cage.

cargoed him to Las vegas and Tien picked him up there. He too took a little
nimble on Tien's finger when she first got him out of the nesting box.. (just a
peck) She got him when he was a little over 6 1/2 weeks old. Tien kept him on
her for 6-8 hours a day for months!!!! With the summer heat, Tien leaves him in
his cage during the day...
